Ali's temperament isn't the best either... He's got a beautiful technique and all but his temperament lets him down way too often.

i am not saying he has the best temperment but it is alot better than the likes of King. i think you can have a bad temperment and get away with it more providing you have good technique, which king doesnt. I think that was in the end the only thing that kept jimmy from winning a world when the pressure was really on his technique just didnt hold up.

Ho my god my life Is so miserable , instead of working hard in a factory i got to play snooker and win thousands of pounds
          it's really so unfair ...
he do not enjoy it anymore and want to retire ? great . i'm fed up with that kind of way to act as Ronnie does and now carter.

Unfortunately its like most people who threaten suicide - those that announce their intention seldom complete - those that are serious about it just go and do it and kill themselves.

Pathetic form of attention seeking if you ask me.

Hope they all feel suitably embarrassed by themselves.....as for Ronnie the sooner the better - he did get one thing right - he really does need to get a life !

carter talk about retirement because he do not win anymore ... losing in the early rounds of every tournament for the past two seasons. you can not play the likes of swail or burnett all the time to win titles

That's a bit of an overstatement. Last season he won the Shanghai Masters, reached the SF of the Welsh Open and the QF of the China Open.

agreed his earnings (on the table alone excluding sponsors, exhibitions and the sale of his snooker club) in 2010 and 2011 are £282,155 - don't know how he can survive on that.

I really like Ali Carter and i read a few stuff some place that he was in Australia and just wanted to go home and be with his family
I think playing more tournaments has put strain on alot of the players

At the end of the day Ali has done Snooker for a very very long time so maybe he has had enough and i tweeted him back and told him to follow his heart
He said to all his fans that he'll see how he feels at the end of the season

I think he looks very keen to fly more so Ay ay to the captain i hope to see him flying around
Who knows maybe he might take a break from snooker and fly a little and come back to playing snooker, but in all respect to him he is a great player and if he wants to try something new then I respect him for it too
He's so inspirational he followed two of his dreams and because he has to practice snooker so much he doesn't get to fly very much so maybe he wants to see it through a little

I will miss him Alot Long live the Captain if he retires but i will be happy if he's happy

Ali is a really down to earth and sweet person and i wish him the best of luck with next seasons snooker and of course out of Pro snooker too

Jimmy never gave himself the best chance(s) of winning a World Title - mainly due to his lack of dedication and application. He even admits to not being able to remember 3 of his World Finals as he was too drunk. Asking Jimmy to stay on the straight and narrow for 17 days was too much, particuarly as his birthday usually fell around the time of the final itself. And the fact he came so close is a testament to his natural ability and technique.

I remember at the 1993 UK, he was 6-2 up over night on Darren Morgan - but went on to lose the match, and he later revealed he had been up all night playing cards - and it showed on him and his game.

As far as I am aware it is almost impossible to obtain a commercial airline pilots license if you are suffering with any Autoimmune disease such as Multiple sclerosis or (in Ali Carters case) Crohn's disease. The military would certainly not allow any of their pilot's to fly once diagnosed. May be different for the public sector though, but I very much doubt it.

You sure it's not an air balloon licence he's got because like him it's full of hot air

I'm not sure it's necessary to be slagging off Joe Johnson on Twitter. It's a poor show. Joe might not be the best but he doesn't deserve a pro to be taking the ****. At least Joe Johnson isn't publicly looking for sympathy and attention by saying he's going to quit because things aren't going right.
