Poor display from Higginson, his pot success must have been something like 65%, not that he had many chances. The way Williams played seemed to just totally destroy his confidence. Mark played very well, he will be a threat for anyone if he can keep this up.

It was 33% when he missed a red in the third frame.. After that moment, he made a 32, in which he potted 8 balls and missed one..

Considering he potted 14 total balls, apart from that final break, he had to pot 6 balls previously. That means, when the percentages were shown, he was 6 out of 18, and then went 0 out of 1 and 8 out of 9 in the rest of the match.

This takes him to 14 out of 28, an exact 50% percentage..

Williams back in form is the best thing that happened to snooker all season.

Have to agree. I've been waiting for this for quite some time. But I believed he could come back, let's hope he'll take a few titles too.

Well, looks like I was a bit too generous then.. Frankly, even 80% is bad, and anything under 70% means the player had a nightmare of a match. It does happen sometimes, sadly for Higginson it happened in a televised match.

Good solid stuff from him and Mark. But I'm sad that the best match of the evening doesn't get any coverage. If only some of the now free cameras could roll over?!
