Just a day or so back from a long trip to china isnt ideal preparation, when you have a tough week ahead of you like jimmy had.

Shame he lost, but i was half expecting it. Puts a damper on a good season.

yeah but his 'A' game wins tournaments, or so he keeps telling us over the past 15 years. time to hang your cue up jim and stick to exhibitions, he could never handle the pressure at his best so what chance of doing anything when he's heading for 50!

It is a Shame that Jimmy Lost 10-9 last night, but it would have been unfair on Jimmy if he Won that late night decider 10-9 because he would have been playing again at 10 am this morning, Jimmy would have been tired and it is wrong that Jimmy would have had to play Tom Ford this Morning like Lu Chaung is doing, it Happened last year as well, Jimmy beat Mark Boyle 10-8 and was shattered and had to play Ken Doherty the next morning and got beat 10-3 and Jimmy complained about the scheduling because he was so tired after his match with Mark Boyle

I felt so sorry for Jimmy last would have love to see him play at the Cruciable, because this year is 30 years since Jimmy made his debut at The cruciable theatre and he got beat in the 1st rd 10-8 by the eventual champion Steve Davis, Fingers crossed for Steve hope he beats young Jack Lisowki and Stephen Lee to qualify 30 years after winning his first world title

Many of the "journeymen" should also hang their cues up!!!

At least Jimmy is a joy to watch even at his age :snooker:

The schedule is not an excuse as Liu Chuang now lead by 6-3.

Not much chance at all of winning anything but he enjoys playing. So what the hell you going on about? Hasn't he qualified for 4 tournaments this season?

Going by that logic, at least 50 players should give up because everyone knows it's going to be the same dozen or so people that will win everything. Infact, you could probably narrow that down to the same 5 or 6 players. So the other 58 players may as well quit.

It seems like that win could cost Xiao Guodong a place on the tour even though he´s inside top 50 on the one year list, a real shame.

Thanks for that... I found it on PSB as well.

Interesting point about the 1-year list (PTC results are going to be used hey!)

I can see that Rory McLeod and Kyren Wilson has put in another bid on the slowest 19 frame match ever

I´ve studied the PTC list, and I can see that I got things wrong. If Guodong falls out of top 64, he´ll push Igor Figueredo out of the list of players, who has a place througt the PTCs. I apologize from moaning so much about his result yesterday

                                no he won't!!

if Xiao drops out of Top 64 he becomes one of the 8 from the PTC list - but someone else moves into the top 64 and all the likely contenders are from that list of 8 on the ptc list.

James Wattana is the closest threat to Igor. He needs to win through to the Crucible - but as I write he's 50 down at moment and Burnett is 9-8 ahead.

After that you have to look at Paddy Wallace who would need now to reach the last 16 at Crucible and so would Kyren.

Or Kurt Maflin win the China Open

otherwise Igor will survive and I very much hope he does.
