Over the past 6-7 years he has tried everyone to try and fine something that in my veiw is not there. Given his time with Ray Reardon his game improved in the safty department that he was the finished player... but given his lack of form from then on he has struggled somewhat.
    Whats your views ?
are you nuts since his time with Ray hes won 2 World Championship and is more a complete player

I do not like Ronnie O'Sullivan's attitude these days, but I LOVE watching him play, especially when he is among the balls.

Stephen Hendry has the attitude of a champion--he believes in himself, and keeps believing in himself even though everyone else has been saying he is over the hill. He does not make excuses for himself but just keep trying. Perhaps Ronnie should learn from Stephen.

Ronnie seems too arrogant to the point of being unrealistic sometimes. All these whinning is just looking for excuses for hi spoor performance.

He also said "He played brilliantly - if he keeps on playing like that he's got a great chance of winning the tournament". So, he did congratulate Allen at the end of the match, and praised him in post-match.

So stop making things up just for the sake of rubbishing him. You dislike him, fair enough ... but what you state is simply untrue.
Hardly Monique, watch the post match interview that has been posted and then tell me that is not full of excuses. We've heard it over and over again.
Also its a funny way of praising someone to say he played brilliantly and then continue with the but...... He was hardly not going to praise Allen but his comments afterwards makes it sound like he was never interested win or lose, that is hardly complementing someone is it?

Which actually shows how much he cares, even if what he says suggests the opposite to some people. Most other players wouldn't go to great lengths to explain their disappointment.

            C'mon Ronnie!
Everybody has its bad days and good days. Today Ronnie has had a bad day and today it has not been his best snooker what he played, to be honest. But the next season is coming.

well not sure if its been said but it looks good on Ronnie for losing. He predicted either himself or Higgins to win the tournament (which i agree with)? I want to see him win because the tournament is not the same without him. In my opinion he is the best player that has ever played the game and its an honour to be alive to watch him play.

That being said he is not a very good loser and really who is? but at the professional level I think to give back to the game you should carry yourself in a professional manner. Don't think its very professional to predict himself winning. What pro does, except a boxer but they've been hit in the head more than enough?

Trust me, he wants to win more than anybody else. He wants to win it for his dad which he has said many times. He wants to make his dad proud, as any son would.

But when you do lose, you limit what you say, don't make excuses and take the high road. Does he want everybody to beg him to continue playing, because everytime he loses he threatens not playing, doesn't like it, didn't play well blah blah...we all learn this early on when playing sports, to be a good loser why is he not?

I wish i was the reporter when he threatens to not play, because i would call his bluff.

maybe i'm a little bitter because he was knocked out and i wanted to see the best player in the world get challenged. Allen played well but Ronnie definately wasn't there. This is his challenge as a top player, some players struggle with long pots, some struggle with position. Ronnie Struggles with consistancy in his mind i think?? lol

another one is him complaining about the game. Yes granted the game is not as good as it could be but when the top player is having an interview and making fun of the chinese reporter by pretending the mic was his johnson, it doesn't help. check youtube for the interview...i'm all for joking around but the game is huge in china, why do anything to hinder that when you're the top player?

like i said it is an absolute honour to be alive to watch the best player of any sport in the world play, it just rubs me a little wrong sometimes when he opens his mouth. I'm sure i'm no peach to talk to or live with but get it together brother Ronnie

Theres alot of post in here judging Ronnie on his behaviour, how he's a sore loser, how he makes excuses, how he's not into playing snooker, his arrogance, he's too tempremental etc etc.

The fact of the matter is, is that THIS IS RONNIE. He's always been like that and why should he change himself or his persona just for the sake of it. This debates been raging for years, you get those that love him and those that hate him. Nobody doubts his brilliance at the table but theres plenty of detractors on his attitude.

My point is Ronnie is Ronnie and what you see is what you get. Why can't people accept that that's just the way he is, even if it isn't what you expect a snooker champ to be. Everybodies different and he shouldn't have to change. I sure as hell don't want him to!

when Ronnies says stupid s.h.i.t. in the media he opens himself up for judgement. He's the one who judged the other players by saying its either him or Higgins and I'm simply commenting on that...it is idiotic anyway you slice Ronnie or no Ronnie. If he wasn't as good as he was he'd be laughed at for his actions.

he is still my favorite player by far but put a filter on the ol' mouth mate!

His behavour in China for example was quite stupid but when he comments about snooker you could call it 'justified arrogance' most of the time, because he simply is that good.
