  • How long does your cue tip last?

Whats the lifespan of the cue tip for average players and professionals?

  • #2
Depends If your tip is single layer or laminated. laminated will tend to last much longer than single layer tips.

I use Elk Master tips and mine tend to last pretty much however long i want them to. Once i've fitted the tip, trimmed and shaped it. I will trim it once more after say 10 or more frames. Then everytime i've played before i put my cue away, i will get a beermat and burnish the side of the tip which pushes it back into place so as to avoid it overlapping the ferrule which would eventually warrant me needing to continually have to trim it, which will wear it down. :snooker: :snooker: :snooker:

how long does your cue tip last

HI I use an elkmaster tip usually 6 weeks also it depends how you chalk your tip. Most of the good players on the Pro Circuit use a laminated tip Talisman and they last 6 months. cheers Leonard
