  • A Few Questions That I'd Like To Know The Answer Of

    1. Has there ever been a maximum where a red has been potted in all six pockets? I know that Ding (Masters), Williams and White all potted reds in five pockets in their maximums.

    2. Has there ever been a maximum where a black has been potted in more than two pockets? I was watching Maguire's 147 attempt at the WC 2009 and he potted a black in the middle pocket.

    3. Correct me if I am wrong, but if a player wins the World Championship and is of the top 16 the following year, they get qualification to all the ranking events. When Shaun Murphy won the WC, who was the unlucky player to miss out in 2006?

Can't remember who it was but i think i remember someone saying it was Ian Mcolluch that missed out and had to qualify for every tournament cos murphy won the worlds, i believe they refered to the rule that qualifys the world champion automatically for every ranking event as "the Ian Mcolluch ass **** clause"

Well, I remember O'Sullivan at the 2007 UK SF against Selby potting his first black in the right middle pocket. There was some controversy about that black going in in the first place, as it hit the near knuckle.

I'm sure there were other maximums where at least the first black was off its spot and thus potted into on of the other four pockets.
