i have a snooker cue with a 9.3mm tip..is it possible to play pool with it sinces the ball is bigger?

It really is what you are comfortable with. Chris Melling played with a very light one piece snooker cue for a long time winning lots of tournamnets before he changed to a "proper" 9 ball cue.
If you are making balls and feel that nothing is lacking, then why change, right?
But if you are having problem with certain shots then just try out some pool cues to see if they suit you more.

As PQJ mentioned earlier, no need to fix what's not broken... but if you are considering to purchase an American pool cue, Mezz is a good choice imo...
