Jimmy White cue for auction!!!

Jimmy has put his cue up for auction, as mentioned on twitter!!! This also means that he'll be getting a new cue (as mentioned on twitter). My question is, who will be making his new cue???

John Parris im pretty sure, he tweeted a while back about a new cue being made for Jimmy.

I think he's trying to do what Davis did at the crucible with Hendry's stuff but at least that was for a noble cause - Paul Hunter foundation and Stephen retired that's the big difference .

I would imagine Jimmy still gets an income from snooker but maybe not enough to keep him in the life style that he became accustomed to. I think Jimmy needs to start thinking about where he wants to be in 10 years from now and use the little income that he has very wisely. I don't hear anything about what Jimmy gets up to these days but I would imagine he still likes a gamble and an odd jar or two.
Doe's anyone know what Jimmy gets from the legends tour.

I'm going a bit off topic here but can anybody tell me what happened to the cue Jimmy used to reach the 82 World semis (the one with the red insulation tape on the butt). Jimmy was able to get more reaction from the white ball with this cue than with any cue he has had since. He played screw shots with this cue that have never been matched. He was faster and more fluent with it too. Any help on this would be appreciated.

according to his bio he said it was the same cue he won the world amateur with and he gave away to someone called peewee, a close friend of his.

I know the cue with the white joint is still been used by a guy called colin gill in south london....

I read this too but the cue he used winning the 1980 World Amateur, he used in the 1981 World Championship but the cue he used from late 81 through to March or April 1983 looked different (grain etc..). I read in a newspaper article years ago that it had been broken just before the 1983 World Championship.

This is the cue Jimmy started using in late 1983. I read in a piece in a tabloid at the time the he purchased it off Alex Higgins. Jimmy lengthened this cue by 2 inches before the start of the 1985 season before replacing it with a Hunt & O'Byrne in January 1986.
