Help needed and advice on Omin cue arrived today.

Hi there chaps, help and advice please from the wealth of knowledge on this forum regarding a Omin cue I have received today.
I won't say nothing about what I think of cue and let you look at photos I have put up and let me know what you think(is it fake, etc).
Let me know your thoughts asap please.

The butt could be genuine. But i never saw a O´min Classic with that kind of Ebony used for the splices above the joint. The maple close to the splices looks very dirty also. Looks like botch during sanding/finishing process.
Something happened to this cue i guess.

I have an Omin shaft with splices very similar to that !! I am assuming that this cue was bought used ?? As it looks in a bit of a mess !! Tommy .

I recently went through the ordering process with Omin and when it came to " how do I pay you " he didn't email me back, which was very strange so I lost interest.

Bought second hand is correct.

Looks ok to me, but as said ebony is poor on the shaft compared to the butt, 2 different cues maybe ???
Would be ok if all the same, but looks a bit mis-matched, was it cheap ???

Was hoping you'd pop in mate:biggrin: £110 posted but no mention of ebony and photos never showed it up!
It's only when I received today and opened up that alarm bells started ringing.
Trying to like cue as had a last minute urge for a 3/4 cue for ease of carrying(don't drive) as league starts tomorrow lol

Agreed and maybe 2 different cues(maybe??).
My first Omin and was expecting better like other Thai manufacturer Phoenix to have a similar finish...nicely lacquered(which I like) to above splices and a nice shaft plain to tip.

Have you checked the taper by rolling it on table or some plane surface?

I bought an omin off Andy and it is a much higher quality to this,although it is off the lower range of model, I agree could be two cues the butt looks good and I think the joint is right, but the finger splices on the shaft look a bit long and pointy compared to mine.
Does the back of the but have the hologram on it?
