  • Drawing of Snooker Pocket size

I'm looking for a drawing that describes the official size of the pockets in a Snooker table

does it need to have all the measurements on it (including a description of the drop on the slate)?

In short there is no official size in the amateur game and pockets vary from table to table. There is an official template for the pro pockets but it's not publicly available.

That said, moglet and others posted some excellent information here - definitely worth a read:

Sorry Robert, but I must correct you! Yes there is, the IBSF have been on a mission to get an official size for the amateur game. Of course, in Snooker clubs, the pockets on the tables differ a lot, and it's the biggest variable on different tables, but in all the IBSF tournaments now, there is an official template that they must stick to so that on all tables in each IBSF tournament, the pockets are the same and not more easy or more difficult on each table.

They have now got the templates, they can be ordered and they are even being used by more and more amateur Snooker Governing bodies, including the EBSA.

EDIT - I will post a link showing this in more detail, when my internet is a little faster, will post as soon as possible!

        Here we are... http://www.ibsf.info/ibsf-templates.shtml

Sorry for the delay, my internet messed up!

Here's some more, sorry, no drawings but some information and the templates are avaliable to purchase.
