Total newbie question.

Hi,

I play snooker once a week at a very amateur club. We recently had a debate as to the rules regarding a foul shot. I appreciate that this will be a very simple ruling for u guys, but if a the object ball is a red ball, and a player misses completely and hits the blue, and then hits the black, what is the penalty?

Any help appreciated

The Penalty is 5 Points in that case

but if he missed the red hit the blue and the black somehow finds a pocket its 7.
