    ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-SIX

Well, as the number one on the leaderboard does not come with a question , I throw one in.

Name 3 pro players, past or present, who are residents in their town, where in the current season a ranking tournament is held.

Could be more, so have to verify whether the answer is correct.

No, but the ball colour was right so one point awarded to Paul. It's round 219 though, just to set things straight.

Yes it's still open – hegeland provided a clue at the bvottom of the last page.

I said failed to hit the ball on.

Anyway that round is closed and the scoreboard already updated! Why is everyone still guessing?

    ROUND TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY-FIVE

This is an easy one and I don't think it's been put on this thread before – but I have seen it somewhere.

A frame is in progress and the scores are level. Player A comes to the table, and plays a shot in which the cue-ball fails to hit the ball on. He had not been snookered and, in fact, he could see the ball on with no other ball even close to getting in the way. However, the referee did not call a Miss.

    Why not?
Was just black left on the table?

    Why not?
the ball (red) was actually hit, but by another red (not the cue-ball) and maybe even potted...

I did say the scores were level.
If only the black was left on the table and the player missed it, the ref will not call a miss as it is the loss of the frame.
But that is the correct answer! Congratulations Mal.

So here is the scoreboard after round 225, but with round 217 still open:

Oh yes, it was me who asked question 217! Why can't someone discretly remind me when I'm struck with amnesia?

A clue: it was during the 2005/06 season.
