  • Ssb - o'sullivan puts the wheels in motion

Ronnie O'Sullivan endured mixed fortunes as he made his debut as a motor racing driver.

O'Sullivan was at Silverstone this weekend racing in the VW Cup. He qualified at the back of the grid for the first race but spun off into a gravel trap, which he described as "a novice mistake."

He fared better in the second race, finishing 14th, which wqs creditable considering this was his first taste of action.

"At least I got a whole race in. It was a good experience, I enjoyed it very much and now I'm looking forward to having another crack at Brands Hatch next month," O'Sullivan said.

Is this true? Does not really reconcile with his reaction to fast driving on 5th gear that I saw on youtube...
Co-winner of Spike’s 2009 UK Championship number of centuries prediction contest.

I wonder what will happen if any of these racing events co-incide with overseas snooker tournaments this season.......

There's a big difference between being in control yourself and being a passenger to someone who is 'showing off crazy driving skills'.
"You can shove your snooker up your jacksie 'cos I aint playing no more!" Alex Higgins.
