Is it considered a foul if you call a colored ball in snooker and hit the color you want and then you hit a red ball and nothing goes down?

    No.
You hit the "ball on" first, everything after that is of no consequence - unless something is pocketed.

To be fair that would make splitting the pack a lot harder if that was the rule.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

I once had a playing partner who called a foul on me - fair enough the cue ball went in after I potted a red - but he called "6" as the cue ball cannoned the pink into the pocket! 😃

edit - see post below for correction of words

Erm Dean, if the pink went in surely 6 is correct?

I knew it! I meant to say:

"... but he called "6" as the cue ball cannoned OFF the pink into the pocket!"
cue ball in the pocket NOT the pink

he counted the foul as 6 because the cue ball came off the pink! sorry for any confusion

Ah i see, sorry, yes if the sentence had been "as the cue ball cannoned BY the pink WENT into the pocket! 😃" that would have been mich clearer.
