  • Tables very slow in wsc 2011

the tables are indeed alot slower than in previous installments, however i do feel that it adds a certain degree of more difficulty which had been lacking for many years.

Yeah I noticed the difference instantly. Doesn't make up for the quality control issues elsewhere, though

Yes, I agree. The balls seem to pull up very quickly, as though the cloth was really thick. Takes a bit of getting used to at first, after the much faster feeling previous versions.

      The fast and the furious,
      The slow and labourious,
All of us, glorious parts of the whole!

Say you have a blind cut into the bottom pockets, you can comfortably hold the cue ball before getting to the blue ball without playing dead weight, or adding any side ..... I prefer tables from previous additions (100% ball physics is all good, but what about the baize you are playing on?)

I hate the fact that the tables are so slow and the cushions are so dead.Surely the people who make this game are snooker fans. Why can't we have world championship conditions, with lightning cloths and springy cushions? If they think that fast cloths and proper cushions would be to difficult for casual players, why not introduce customizable speeds for both cushions and baize speed. If I go to a snooker club and the cloths are really slow,I can not enjoy it.The same has to be said for snooker games. Also when I put a ton of side on my shot, does the side only work off the first cushion? When I play snooker I like to use a lot of side to fizz the ball round the table, when hit right, there is still plenty of side on the ball after hitting the third cushion.I am very sorry I bought this game now.Inexcusable amateur coding.

This is my biggest annoyance with any snooker sim. Slow cushions are such a pain, and take away a lot of the enjoyment of the 'sim' aspect of the game. Especially when you have to hit shots at 100mph to get the white where you want it.

yes, i was talking to ding before his last session of the semifinal with judd, and he said that the table was playing considerably slow after being re clothed.

Think s1 may have taken a wrong turn and wondered into here instead of the main Snooker Champ forums. lol. Still, there you go, even the World Champ tables were considerably slower this year.

Whats annoying is it never changes.

All the tables play the same. I wish, in real life, once you got used to the way a table played, they're were all EXACTLY the same, no matter where you were playing!!!!
