Achievement issues

Hi all.

I am quite new to this game. Been playing a few weeks on the 360 and so far have gained 360/1000 gamer points.

I recently moved up to 45 in the world rankings yet I did not recieve my achievement. I have also played well over 40 games of pool and again, no achievement.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue, or know why it has occurred?

I'm not too sure - I'm ranked no.4 and I thought that but as you get further down I'm sure you get it sooner or later.

You have to finish the season before your world ranking achievements unlock!

Just played the first 3 tournaments.

Ronnie O'sullivan has beaten me 3-2 in each one at the semi final stage..

Im gonna have him one day very soon.

I'm still struggling to beat the higher ranked players. I got beat 2-0 by Mark Williams this morning and 2-0 by Ronnie O'Sullivan the other day. I just can't seem to beat them. My positional play is improving though and I think if I can keep improving that aspect of my game I will eventually beat them, but it's the ''not knowing'' how hard to hit a ball sometimes which seems to put me out of position. Although I'm now averaging breaks of 49 which is a big improvement of my constant run of teen or single figure breaks when I first bought the game. I got the 75 break achievement the other day as well.

Loving this game though and I think it's a lot better than some of the previous Snooker games. This is my favourite Snooker game since the 2004 edition on the Playstation 2.

Ive never played any snooker/ pool games ( and barely any in real life ) before this but I really like it. Its relaxing. The commentary gets a bit repetitive mind, thats my only gripe.

The top players are far from infallible from what ive seen. They often miss long pots and if you keep a ball tight against a red for safety they will lose patience on their 3rd/4th shot and gift you some easy balls. Give them a table with a nice spread of reds however and they will generally get everything left. I play very defensively against them and although I have no yet beaten a top 5 player I have been very, very close. Daft potting errors cost me on most occasions.

Speaking of not being able to beat any of the top 5 players. I just beat Ronnie 2-0 and some other guy 3-0 who was ranked n.o 2.

Im now in the final against the n.o 4 seed ( I am 34 ).

I'm ranked no.4 in the world, playing Ronnie now on it and it is the best of (19) I've just played a short session and currently winning 3-1, will play later on.
