the player representations look as bad as the last game. how come for the football, golf games etc they've got the player motion/stance spot on but i've never seen it on a snooker game? get the cue on or near the chin & get rid of the ridiculous twisted body stance which looks awful.
i wonder if they'll have the left handed pro's playing left handed this time & will all the pro players have have a 3/4 joint cue like the last game? The detail on fifa & tiger woods is spot on but this is average at best.
i won't be ordering this game until i've seen some reviews, wsc 09 was pretty poor & this could be more of the same..

Agree with everything 100%. It's not difficult to get even the most basic of things right. The thing that annoys me most is that shots are position are just too easy. you can't pot balls 10 feet down a rail.

Maybe I am being pedantic but I find the player animations in the WSC games absolutely pathetic given the current motion capturing technology & power of the latest generation of home consols/pc's.

You just need to take a look at titles such as Fight Night, Madden, Tiger Woods (to a lesser extent) & FIFA / PES football games to see what can be achieved.

It is not as if Snooker is a fast moving sport & there must be a finite number of player on table animations etc that can be introduced.

I really think that Snooker is a game that should be almost photorealistic as it is not exactly a fast moving game & would have guessed that the hardest part would be the generating real ball physics etc.

I just think that the player animations are lazy & cannot take the game seriously when seeing some of the strange shapes that they pull for a seemingly simple shot (screenshot 5 is a classic example).

Maybe it is just cause I am a fussy bugger ?

I agree, the player representations have been, and by the look of those pictures, continue to be utterly naff. But as usual it's all about money. FIFA and Tiger Woods generate millions, maybe billions, whereas WSC doesn't. It isn't exactly what you'd call a globally recognized brand, so I don't think they can afford to use the latest in character modeling tech. However, I'm sure they could come up with something a bit better than what we've seen in those pics, round elbows??

But as long as the game actually plays well, I'm not really that bothered.

          The slow and labourious,
