RaNeN is not to blame, it's solely my fault for not being available this past while. I'll make it up, soon!

I played Ellena tonight...
Frame 1
d_g went into the match, knowing he needed a win to assure qualification. Sadly, the omens did not start too well, when he broke off without realising he had even touched a buton on the mouse. Ellena started potting balls galore, while d_g started galoring safety (and inventing words in his match reports). Not long had passed before Ellena had just the black remaining, while 5 of d_g's balls were still left. Finally, his safety reaped dividends, and he had a chance to clear!
On his final ball, another well-timed slip of the mouse handed the frame on a plate to Ellena. Little did she realise, however, in taking on the black, that it was just a cunning ploy by d_g, who had known that she would miss the intended pocket and double the black the length of the table along the cushion into the wrong pocket.
1-0 to Tactics over Potting
Frame 2
What's this? Was Ellena now enjoying the safety play? After d_g had left her nicely snookerered on the black that was near the corner pocket, not only did she hit it, but managed to leave the cue ball angling d_g in the jaws, so that he couldn't even get it out! Both players had chances, but Ellena's unusual lapses on the final black were not enough to prevent her potting it on about the 5th attempt. Ellena takes the frame, and levels...
1-1!
Frame 3
A slightly quicker frame... d_g, in potting his penultimate ball, knows that getting position on the final one is no certainty. So he decides to play a nice power screw shot, potting them both at once, and finishing with a shot on the black! What's that, you say? Fortuitous? Never! In goes the black...
2-1 to d_g
Frame 4
Again Ellena pots the balls early... is d_g's fairytale coming to an end? She is quickly on the black, but with no position. Back comes d_g, but he too is faced with a tricky black - a thin cut. Always mindful of the need to entertain the crowds, he decides that bringing in the viewers and sponsorship money is more important than sealing a result, so he misses the thin cut and sends the white flying in off. Ellena pockets the black, forgets that the crowd love seeing the white go in, and leaves the white on the table...
2-2!
Frame 5
About halfway through the frame, or what d_g thinks is halfway through, sure that each player has potted 3 or 4 balls, he is surprised to see the red arrow flash for Ellena to nominate the pocket into which she is pocketing the black. Finally, he realises that he is stripes, not spots, and begins to wonder whether he might need to work on increasing his concentration levels an extra 1%, when he eventually counts and realises that he still has all 7 balls on the table, having been convinced he had potted 3 or 4 of them.
The fact that Ellena seems to be able to cut blacks in at angles over 90 degrees does not help his cause - all credit to Ellena...
3-2 to girlpower
Frame 6
d_g is focused now, although not so focused that by the time he writes this report he can remember anything about the frame. Except the last shot - another extremely thin snick by Ellena, as she not only cuts in the final black but cuts off any of d_g's slim hopes of qualification that may have remained to that point....
Final score: Ellena 4-2 davis_greatest
Very well played, Ellena.... shame about the humidity on the table, the balls rolling off on the joins on the slate, the poor refereeing, the noises in the crowd... it all could have been so different. But I'll be back next year!
Great league.... and good luck Ellena in the semi-finals!"If anybody can knock these three balls in, this man can."

"Girlpower" ya said ?! haha
Was a great match , good fun...so i hope we'll meet in the next League as well. You need some practice tho ...so we might play a game in between Leagues . But next time let me pick the table , the one you picked tonight was weird , the balls were rolling strange ..wouldnt go in ..or they went in the wrong pockets...hmm... not right
Ty for the match and for the good luck wishes !"I just want to live for the moment.Tomorrow's not important, next month is not important, what's happened in the past is not important. That's my journey... and I like the journey i'm on!" R.O'Sullivan

What a wonderful report d_g, I relished reading it (ie: I laughed my heart out!!)
I also have to say that I very much enjoyed my match with chasmmi, probably because I was not worried about the result at all (I took it for granted beforehand that I'd lose - sorry to disappoint you chasmmi!!)
So I guess this is what the sports psychologists mean when they say you have to get rid of the match pressure and the worry about the result, and all shrinks in general mean when they say you have to enjoy every moment! I wish I had known before!
I wish the -finalists good luck. Oh and... can the rest of us watch now? Perhaps a prediction contest... or a bet...

Austrian_girl and I just played.
She had a lot of flukes in 1st game and cleared the balls well..
The 2nd frame i managed to pot a bit better and won to make the score 1-1
3rd frame was close, I had a chance to win it, blew it and she was up 2-1 up.
The 4th frame i cant remember what happened but kat won that too...3-1
5th frame i missed a simple black,to sit back and watch kat clear up in spectacular fashion.. she was awsome..4-1
The final frame i managed to pot well enough to win to make the score a bit better at 4-2.
congrats kat well played darling
Thats me out of the semis for sure, so i would just like to wish the last 4 the best of luck and thanks to everyone else for the matches..Great fun all of them...

RaNeN and I finally had our match.
The score: elvaago 4 - 2 RaNeN
Frame 1 through 3 went very similar. RaNeN potted balls like a machine, but through determined safety play and potting when the pressure was high, I managed to snag them all!
Frame 4 then went RaNeN's way, I barely contributed.
I won frame 5 again, this time not by safety play, but by good potting and good position.
And RaNeN took the last frame in style, leaving me with 6 balls on the table."I'll be back next year." --Jimmy White
