  • Looking for a new cue

Any help appreciated. Ive been looking for a new cue for around £50 or £60. Im a pretty limited player at the moment and just wondered if anyone had any idea what sort of thing to be looking at in this price bracket. Thanks in advance.

I bought my CM1 City Boy (made in Malaysia) cue worth below GBP50 last time. It should fit your price range after the delivery cost+cue case included. Good cue for its value. But I don't think you wanna buy something across the continents eyh?

      Anyway, visit here:- http://www.comet.com.my/products/ind...roducts_id=191

      Hope this helps.

There are plenty of web site in UK selling cues below £100 & free delivery (the next day) within UK mainland.
        Not difficult to find.....

Thanks Andy and Brendan, will have a look at those. Kadobau of course i can go and find a site with a cue for under a £100, i was just asking for past experiences and possible reputable sites as i have no experince in this area. I realise this isnt much money in cue terms but still would like to find the best possible.

Anyone have any opinions on either of these? Any help is appreciated.

Mind if you try mastercraft of UK? They produced good and low prices cues too... but it still more than £100 of course....just one more thing...Dave is a very nice man to deal with...I swear to you about that...

Thanks kadobau ill check those out. Brendan ill have a look at their site cheers. Is it worth spending that bit more to get better quality you reckon? I'm a very modest player, high break of 35 and struggle to get close to that often. Just a recreational player so 3 figures seems a bit much. I guess a good cue will last a very long time so may have to scrape some more money together. Thanks again.

YES.... mastercraft is good. I've been thinking of having one from mastercraft.
But... the delivery cost to Malaysia are high !!!

Breden, have you ever ask how much is the cost for them to send a cue to Malaysia ?
I did check with JP, delivery cost £65..(enough to buy a brand new Omin here in KL)

That the reason I'm still struggling whether to order from UK... too far !!!

that victor cue isnt too bad and at leasty for a tenner less than the other you are getting a mini butt thrown in with it, this is the one accessory in snooker i could not do without now i have got and used one....

heres my thoughts on buying cues from overseas.......
because shipping is going to be at least 60gbp, and make your money's worth.
you might as well buy sth more on the upscale, even if you have a budget.
buy robin, or tony wilshaw,or a mike wooldridge shark...

at least you are garanteed that these cues can retain their value, if you dont like it. there is bound to be some people who would want it.

If you wanna get better in your game better be serious in buying cue. Very hard to get nice cue with low price. As the saying goes "you get what you paid for". I am afraid you will look for another cue after having 1 cheap cue. This happen all the time mate. Trust me.
