It's really nice to have a maple cues. I already addicted by the maple cue smoothness all the time when i'm using it. Nice. Bro Willy,if i'm not mistaken, you did shown 2 pcs of O'min 1pc cues before, right ?
Nope, not me.
But it was shown by another Singaporean if i m not mistaken.
That is a good story anyway. Yes UT is low profile. It doesn't matter as long he can make cue as good as Omin, that's fne for me.
brendan : You will get your 2 UT custom cues within this month. I will select the best shafts and striped ebony myself. UT said 'Will do my best. Thank You'

Thank you boss. The money has been delivered to you. No rush with those cues project. No pressure. All we need is a very high quality of cue.
Thank you very much. It's good that UT does not have to rush with any customs.
Don't forget the round badge too. Yes, I don't like to give pressure to UT. He can take as long as he want until he can finally finish our cues in top notch.
I hope you can take some photo of my cue only (you know which one) once it is done. Please take pictures for the whole cue, butt+shaft+mini+tele (on table), the tip and the whole package inside allumium cue case. I want to keep those pictures and post it in here soon. Well, you know how poor I am as a photographer
Anyway, as you always go to both Omin and UT workshops, is there any different of the way they making cue? I mean the machines, techniques etc etc.? Does UT still a fully traditional cuemaker? Just wondering...

brendan : pictures of course. UT does all steps by himself including the handplaining of the shafts. UT has been a traditional cuemaker since beginning. He can only do 2-3 cues per week (working hours, normally, is from late afternoon to early morning the next day. Go to sleep when the sun rises. A strange working old man

No, I am his Boss
By the way, I am letting go these 2 cues. Pictures below. If your gang members have any interest to buy, PM me for best cost. From now on, I will only use the cue(s) that I make myself, through the technical guidance of UT
1. 'anaconda' is UT's original cue, that I got from him months ago (traded with my own collection of snakewood blanks). the shaft is 'greattttt'.
2. 'burl' perfect, by Omin. I sell cue only, not with mini butt or case. shaft is also with great playing quality.

Uncle,
Have you ever visit to Hunt & Osborne site? look at the gallery. Does UT using the same material and method to determine weigh and balancing his cue?

Thanks.
Never visited the site, sorry. I think all makers will have the same basics, but different small details experience (mostly in the balancing techniques). It's becoming my cuemaking secrets now. His only apprentice
If you have alot of queries on UT cue for unclevit, i will highly advise you to get a yahoo messenger n then chat with him.
Thats what i did before i got UT to customize a project.
Yes, i know you are sceptical about your first custom cue whether it will come out what you have requested. It will definately have certain percentage of flaw cos what we imagine n what the actual product will never be same.
The thread is started to allow members here to showcase or talk abt their UT cue, not for you to ensure that your UT cue will come out prefectly.
