Just amazing! Over 1,300pounds for two of the three. The other one is a paltry 1,000pounds.

Is this what's his name (fedia?) who gets really inflated prices on eBay? Perhaps a Chinese collector would pay that price but for sure not me!

Yes, It's fedia with a New eBay account without highly exaggerated descriptions. The prices are staggering, but some idiot will stump up the cash for them. Other sellers have cottoned on to this, and are also putting JP Ultimates on for £1000+.

Personally, i'd rather wait for my own cue to be made at that price.

to be honest i would rather wait and get something suited more to me rather than buying for someone elses specs as you would off fedia.

no wonder you think most people in china are poor.

                  hope this helps.

I think not! My firm have set up a manufacturing firm in China. They are crying out for my particular specialist field (calibration), but when I asked about salary, they offered less than 25% what I earn in the UK (and I still cannot afford a Parris cue on that). I admit the top 1% are no doubt on a good wedge, like our top 1% are, but how many of them are inclined towards snooker. More golf types in my experience.
Is it just my perception that Woolf147's cues are way overpriced?

                      with regards to your company:

                      http://www.loisfreeke.com/2010/12/ch...e-getting.html

should be an extremely rare case for a company to offer an expat with specialized skills a lower salary in china than what he is getting in the UK.

                      with regards to cues:

the largest distributor of cues in china estimates that between 60-70% of h&o blackplates and jpus >#1200 are in china or being sold to china. i hardly think its just the 1% snapping these up. i can say from 1st hand experience that most of the players i know including myself own a few of these each.

well, put it this way - woolf is a re-seller. if he is over-pricing his cues, there would not be a market for them. the fact that he is constantly posting new cues illustrates there is demand & there are many people willing to pay a time / effort premium to him for the cues.

so why badger him? seems to me he is an astute businessman.

isn't that what you westerners call 'capitalism' and adam smith's invisible hand?

he is taking a business risk isn't he...? if he orders so many and takes possession, the inventory is his and if he can't sell them he has to eat his losses, correct? no bailouts...right?

so, i reiterate - he is an astute businessman.

1%, that's right, but consider the population, lol
