Old cue v New cue

I am on a quest for a cue and I am pretty sure that I am going to buy a old one piece cue rather than a new one because I think the build quality will be much better than some of the ones I have seen on the market around my budget of £100/125 any thoughts or ideas would be great.

dont know about build quality,but timber wise prob much better.where you going to buy one from?.trying it out first is advisable as old cues are def hit and miss.

I for one have a good selection of customized, hand finished, machine sliced one piece cues for around that price.

Hmm if they are like the one's you sometimes put pics up on here they are worth £30 at most, unless your talking different one's of course

Actually you can (just) i just bought this yesterday for £125 + delivery, the Cannon match cues are known to be great players, once i clean up the ferrule and re tip it, this should be an awesome cue

This was a basic peradon with a wonky weight and around 60 new. It now is fully spliced with blood wood and black vinnear, a one off. only worked on it because of the straightness of the grain, and I felt it hit quite well but I could make it hit even better after weighting it with care.
This went for 90
Now it looks and plays great

This cue, My old playing cue, again is a choice racker, piping straight with straight grain and a fantastic hit, hence the blood wood four point splicing.
This I swopped for 100 equivalent.

You havn't shown those before (i don't think) nicely done, jazzed up some cheap machine spliced cues, but really can't see them reaching £100 +

Oh by the way they went at 40-60 to players wanting a good cue at a good price.
