    In general I think you're right Philip, you get what you pay for, but snooker tables are a funny thing, if I had a place to put one I could have had half a dozen for nowt round my way in the past few months as they just don't sell. A couple were out of private homes the rest from pubs etc, so I don't know what condition they were in.

      It's true what you say. If buying new a 12' is the most expensive but used the larger ones are cheaper because nobody can house them! Who can afford a 22' x 16' room simply for a snooker table?

      My other big item of furniture is a grand piano. The equation there is similar.
