    Agree Trains.
Yes its slightly off topic but very relevant to my situation.
Re; Mr. Steadman - I used to live in Bolton and had a frame on his table during a league match a few years ago.
I don't know Craig personally, so wouldn't want to impede... But he may be up for gaining a few bucks in his pocket for his troubles?
I'll try and contact him on Social Media. Thanks!

Thanks fkhan and the video link. This looks interesting.
I'll keep an eye out for when his shop opens...

No problem , good luck in your search .

In regards to playing on β€˜pro’ tables . In my experience if your a decent player you can adjust to the faster conditions reasonably quickly . How quickly will depend on what the club tables are like that you practiced on before and the level you play at .

I don’t believe it when people say it’s a different game on the pro table. It’s just different conditions which if your decent are better for break building.

Quote not working , reply to starsky post no. 34

Unfortunately that doesnt seem to apply in reality , i’d genuinely be interested to know if any pro’s practice on tables that are nothing like pro tables , i know they practice on slightly slower tables but i’d like to know if some , certainly any firmly in the top 64 regularly practice on tables that are nothing like wst tables , not trying to appear rhetorical or critical of your post here , just being inquisitive.

Obviously I can't speak for all pros as I don't know but I do know Justin is flat out fitting under table heating to pros tables all over the country, so I take it they will be good set ups. He had been up Scotland before he came to us and was off to do about twenty in Ireland the week after. I'm guessing most if not all top 64 pros will have their own or live near a club that have very good tables.
Spped of the tables is only one aspect, for me it is the undercut, or lack of it on a pro set up table compared to a club table that takes the most getting used to but steel block cushions are also more consistent than most club tables.

Agree with you here mate. I know where Trains is trying to go with this and I agree Pro conditions on tour will be different than a club, but I’ve seen Selby’s practice table and spoken to guys who have played on it and it’s been fine, just tighter pockets! It is nothing special believe me…

Sorry to go back to my own table again but I think it’s as good as any pro practice table. I’ve had many decent club players who have come round and within 1 frame they are knocking in seriously good high breaks with relative ease and apart from Tom , none of them complain about it being too quick of to difficult to play on.

So if you see a ' in the quote, remove it and it will work, I'll have some time towards the end of the week and see if I can find out why this is breaking quotes.

Are the slates more prone to warping when heated Steve?
