Alex Pagulayan won his first match in the Open Snooker tournament 4-1, with a break of 131. They didn't stream it, but they'll surely broadcast one of his group matches at some point...

I can get the Ustream of the tournament but all they show is the 8ball. The snooker started yesterday. When will they stream the snooker???
The bitter taste of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.

Been checking in periodically, not seen any snooker. Don't think any of the folks running the stream are too big on the game. They have to show some eventually...maybe the open final will make the cut.

A lot of people don't know but Alex Pagulayan played quite a bit of snooker for his native country the Phillipines i believe if im not mistaken he represented them in a gold medal game for snooker as well

Alex used to play a lot of snooker when he was living in Canada. He had a high break of 139 a few years ago in the Canadian snooker championship shooting with a pool cue.
He is a professional pool player who can handle pressure very well, along with the knowledge and experience of playing snooker with a lot of top amateur players, he is not easy to beat on the "big table," and very hard to beat on the "small table."
Brady Gollan used to play professional snooker in the UK, anyone remember him? He was ranked somewhere in the 30th, I believe, at his prime.

I'm sure those players could beat Alex far more easily in a friendly snooker match for 0 dollars.
I always had the opinion that a really good snooker player who played snooker all his life should be able to easily beat pool players even the top ones at snooker as it is really not their game. But if the difference in mental strength is too great, than maybe not.

Been watching a bit of 8 and 9-ball on the video feed. If I told you what I thought of either game I'd be barred from this site in a second.:-)

                            Get the snooker on!

Is there a list of high breaks? I'd like to compare data with European Snooker Championships currently in progress.

Current high break list at ESC:

Yes, plus Alex is a century breaker, not just some club player who makes the occassional 40's.
