This is nothing. There is a commentator who commentates on various sports for the national TV in Slovenia, and he sometimes spents virtually the entire evening audibly clearing his throat after every sentence, and sometimes mid sentence as well. And he commentates while drunk too, on occasion, although that usually ends up being fairly entertaining.

I kinda love that, when you grow up with the PC BBC! I like rebels in life they make it more real and more interesting.

Yeah, that guy is one of the better ones, although some people here would strongly disagree with that opinion. The rest of the commentators on our national TV are mostly either old timers who should have retired long ago, or they have an annoying tone and absolutely no feel for commentating. Luckily most of the sports I watch have moved to commercial stations and/or are available on Eurosport now.

Another thing that is unfortunate in Slovenia is that most former players or other people involved in a sport that are invited to provide expert commentary on TV are absolutely awful at expressing themselves and sound completely incoherent most of the time. I guess that happens everywhere to some extent, but I don't find it nearly as bad when I watch sports on a British or Italian channel, for instance.

Very interesting. I guess it is a skill and doesn't come naturally to many but some do manage to get better at expressing themselves over time. Jimmy White used to be very camera shy in his youth and although not fully fluent he does get his points across pretty well these days.

Could be a great final tomorrow, I'm hoping for a battle royal!! I think Luca has every chance of upping his game from tonight and making a good fight of it tomorrow.

Love that he said of Higgins, if he was a football team, he would be Germany! That's brilliant.

Seeing as Quest left the Brecel v McGill match at nine last night to show the EFL football I thought I'd watch the highlights at 11.45 this morning. Well I expected them to show the highlights of the match they didn't show to the end, but no, Higgins v O'Sullivan, idiots

Yep, I do think that will be quite a big thing for Higgins to overcome, if he doesn't it will be devastating to lose another final.
