Yeah he did slam it didn't he. It happens a lot on pool tables with rubber pocket linings, play a straight shot at pace with deep screw and the spin transfers to the object ball and it leaps out of the pocket.

If you measure the front of the brass pocket plate where the ball hits to the fall of the slate ,this is a lot further back than the old B&W tables ,same with middle pockets ,although middle pockets are always a smaller shallower drop .I’m surprised the commentators did not pick up on the fact that when Selby hit the white at very high pace the white jumped and caused the black to jump too ,this probably caused the object ball to impact the pocket plate at the wrong angle ,too high up and it catapulted out .Not the fault of the table at all imo .Not a chance if the object ball was running on the cloth would it have come out ,the modern table pocket throws the ball downwards .

Because of the morons in the crowd I sometimes wish Ronnie would lose.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

Ronald v Judd final then chaps - don't think I've ever seen the pair of them in much better form so should be an absolute blinder Rodders! 😉

It has potential doesn't it. Who's your money on? I'd have to go for Ronnie.

I think this final will get them both thinking who’s the best in the world at the moment .If Judd plays like he has been in previous rounds he could be a handful for Ronnie ,the way he dispatched Mark Allen was scary ,if Ronnie gets his long game to turn up who knows .Either way both of them in great form it should be a classic

It sounds biased but I always fancy Ronnie in any game he plays.

Really tough call, but if Judd's got that look in his eye that he had back when he was in top form and looking like he has Ronnie's number, it could well be his day.

Will be interesting to see if kicks play a part in who wins today with these two triangle users. 🤔

Trump already had one kick, certainly reacted as though he had one when playing a safety shot from the pack of reds.

As for the final, I think trump looks intimidated today which is very concerning. I know he lost in the world final and was well beaten, but I'd expect his form this week to have put that out of his mind. However the simple missed pink in 3rd frame is a sign of someone who feels inferior,it's a telltale sign when someone fears their opponent and is something that could lead to a heavy loss today.

Trump a little unlucky to go in off in 4th frame but he had a couple of chances to put frame away and didn't. Ronnie not even on top form, he's just playing a solid match game and asking questions of trump who doesn't seem to be able to produce the goods. 10-4 I predict to O'Sullivan

Thought Ronnie was going to run away with it for a while there, 6 - 3 gives Judd a chance, but not much of one I think. Looking a bit like a mini replay of the Wc final.

Bit strange for Ronnie not to acknowledge the 147 but I'm guessing he's doing some kind of focus routine in his mind as I can't really see him being unsportsmanlike especially to Judd. I've been wrong before though.....🤔

The cameras were on Judd most of the time after he potted the black ,Ronnie might well have given him a nod or a wink ,I would be surprised if he didn’t.
