    Don’t think the overhead camera angle helped at all. You really need to be close up to the white. When you see some players check if the black is correctly spotted they get their heads right down on the table. You’re talking fractions between ok and not ok. The ref was pretty clear and he’s nothing to gain from calling a foul.

        It looked to me like the centre of the cue ball was a fraction outside the yellow spot so the ref called correctly, that's why people like that are referees
        Maybe Hossein should have checked whether the cue ball went into a divot where the yellow had been incorrectly spotted over a couple of days and then he could have bollocked the ref and reported him like Ronnie reported Desi last season over that spotting the black incident.
