What a classy break to finish with. I love a 10-9 finish and I've been lucky to see quite a few now, but this surely has to be one of the best ever.
Nice to see Fu's reaction in defeat, very sporting and gracious, and nice to see Jan Verhaas congratulate the referee for a job well done as well.

And that is how you do a victory ceremony!
missed it as on Eurosport, but yes the Chinese events have so many dignitaries from all the sponsors, it can take longer to do the ceremony than the match
was Jason F there?
They said they were cutting it short because the prog has over ran for a guess, Eurosport is by far the worst channel to watch snooker on!
better than not having snooker on TV
also Eurosport where better this time round as they could have not shown all the semis and final in their entirety
so I say, thanks Eurosport (I believe they do read TSF )
I just think there scheduling can be a bit all over the place, the times this week i've gone to put the Snooker on and its skating/skiing/weightlifting etc, even though the match is taking place and the programme listed is actually Snooker but the channel is showing some other sport, if you try series linking the event you just end up with hours of footage of some other sport, i just tape the whole of Eurosport so i've deffo recorded it lol, as you rightly say though its better than no Snooker at all, looking forward the the BBC's coverage at the end of the month, everything running on time and no adverts!

Yes, I think so. They didn't have the usual ten businessmen in suits standing there for the photos, but it was still pretty epic. Zhao Xintong got a small trophy for the best "newcomer" and they each got a nice little panda. Not the same as last year though, this one didn't have a snooker cue.
Anyway, this was a really good event, even better than the inaugural edition. I suspect the name "International Championship" was intentionally picked in case they needed to move the tournament around to different venues, but I now hope it stays in Chengdu for as long as possible. It looks like the people have accepted it much better than the tournaments in Wuxi and Haikou, and it's nice that they got rewarded with such good snooker all week, with a classic final to end on a real high.
