  • Allen goes in-off the re-spotted black and loses 6-4.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

    • That's twice that Mark has pocketed the white on the black to lose a match.

      • Was a nice bout of safety on the black there, shame it ended the way it did

        • Great frame to finish. Well, great drama anyway, but quite a few mistakes from both players. Murphy probably shouldn't have let it get that close, because he was in command for most of the match. But he survives another one...

Selby and Allen have been the better pairing over the years, while Selby-Murphy has often disappointed, but hopefully they provide us with a classic tomorrow.

          • Murphy has been playing the better snooker during this tournament relative to Selby. If Murphys long game is still working and he comes out attacking then I think he should win this.
If Murphy goes defensive then Selby will have the advantage and slowly grind out frames with his impressive B game.

I was thinking the same, earlier this season? he potted the Black to win the frame and match, then the cue ball rolled round and pocket and he lost the frame and match.
              cannot think which event though.

                • It was in the first round of the 2012 World Championships against Cao Yupeng of China, Allen lost the match 10-6 and accused Cao of unfair play (Cheating), by saying he did not own up to a push in shot the 10th frame. and also Terry Griffiths commontated he hit the cue ball twice on the same shot

                    • I know seams a long time ago Dean did you think he hit the cue ball twice on the shot, to me it looked like he never got his cue away quick enough when the cue ball came back.

                          not sure
at the time I replayed it several times and still not sure
but the reaction of Allen there at the time because we all know the sound live but on TV difficult to tell.
After going to my first live pro event I realise it is so different from the TV.
The ref (Tabb?) didn't say anything at the time, so Ref decision is final
