  • What I don't understand is why Eurosport and the BBC are covering the same match. I know you can watch the Murphy vs Fu match using the red button but I can't record that.

    • Rob is certainly no Alan Hughes when it comes to the introductions!

Yes very unfortunate indeed. Hopefully the snooker extra program has the Murphy - Fu match so I can watch it early tomorrow morning.

I'm watching it now. At least I will get to see it. Both are struggling at the moment.

The only problem is that I'm forced to listen to Willie Thorn who is the best player in the world.

          John Parrot it good though.

Yeah I didn't like that. Rob I think means well, no malice there, he's trying to be complementary, but it's not very smart. He should do better and not embarrass Shaun like that.

There is no question that Robertson has played the best snooker of the tournament so far. It's just a question whether he has peaked too early. The draw only gets tougher now, probably Trump in the quarters and Selby in the semis...
Thanks for replying, I'll hopefully catch a bit of it on the highlights later. I agree Robertson as a whole has been very impressive, and if it goes to plan and he meets Selby... what a match that could be... Though you could be right peaking too soon has been the downfall of many in this marathon!
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...

Haha indeed And I like Parrot as well. Hendry is fantastic btw. He should get *his* own show!

                • It was important for Fu to start well, but it's almost as if Murphy was destined to win that frame... Fu was nicely in when a possible big bounce left him snookered behind the black. Murphy then missed a long blue, but played such a bad positional shot that he left Fu nothing easy. Fu attempted a double, left the white behind the pink, but the red came back and finished as a sitter for Murphy to the middle. On top of that, Murphy also had a fluke earlier in the frame when he played a suspect safety.

Can he push on from here like Robertson did in his match?

I'm no fan of Rob Walker, but as far as I'm aware he's being making comments about Shaun's weight loss every time he's introduced him. I'd have thought if it had bothered Shaun he'd have just asked him not to mention it again.

                    • Marco seems to have a very flat tip.

                      • Marco is really struggling with position at the moment and he finally broke down on 39.
Odd seeing what a machine he can be.

                        • This is getting silly now. The run of balls is completely with Murphy, every time he messes up he gets away with it.

The snooker gods are smiling on him big time at the moment.

                            • Meanwhile Ryan is trying really hard to loose this match quickly...lots of errors from him and giving away the last frame...11-7 down.
