You have got to be joking. John Evans is the worst commentator ever. "Oooh its 20 points all." Really?! He says the most pointless, blatant things.

I like his drowsy, laconic tone. It makes a change from everything being explained with the usual cliched nonsense

I expect the buzz of a packed house and the players performing under brighter lights to inspire them to play better than they did in the first session. I expect to see more of Ronnie's A game and higher breaks from both players. I hope we're in for a tense finale tonight

There was a good quote by John Evans earlier in the week.

As for this evenings session it's going to be interesting. There is a huge clash in playing styles. It could go either way.

Yes... "where is the white ball going" , "i don't think he can see the ball" ( and in most cases the player has a clear line to hit that ball ).
This are the favorite lines. And, of course, when Ronnie is playing........incredible, what a shot, magnifique......

is it me or does the white in this tourney seem to be moved around easy they seem to screw back with so much ease to me it looks like the way it feels on a pool table with the white being smaller

Thank god we actually saw some entertainment and breaks flowing. I appreciate safety has its place in the game but the game is about scoring points and the doing it in the most efficient way possible. Did you notice the change in Selby once he knew Ronnie was scoring, he had one chance in the 11th frame and took on a tricky brown and won the frame from that visit. Had that been this afternoon he'd have turned that down in favour of a safety.

As for people saying he plays like this all the time, I think people forget how flowing he was during the world championship, when he had about 14 centuries during that tournament.
