It's still snooker and it's the same players playing, just the coverage isn't as good. I am really disappointed that Malta event is not happening as it would fit in quite nicely (although there might be a very busy schedule for those who do play all these smaller events).

Ok, I am not really following some of these posts, is there going to be an event inbetween the Welsh Open and the World Championship or not?

As for the Welsh Qualifiers, I am actually looking forward to them, I would really like to see someone spring a suprise and have a good run into the finals

There will be China Open and of course China qualifaers but thats all of big events

I think the first thing Barry Hearn will be looking to do now he is in charge will be to introduce some kind of Summer tournament.

Yes but players need time to relax but still a few non-ranking summer tournaments will be good-as long as few professionals take part

You haven't seen what Barry Hearn has done to darts? follow darts closely and they are all over the world each weekend. First weekend in Feb they are in Gibralet, then they come back to Derby the following weekend. They also have ranking events in Australia, USA, Canada, Austria, Ireland, Scotland. Germany etc. I don't think it will be too long untill snooker is like that.

Snooker is a bit more tiring than darts and making that many ranking events will be tough for players

How is it? In my opinion, neither of the sports need that much physical effort.

Well If there will be 15 tournaments the standard of plau might just fall down
