I prefer 7-8 snooker tournaments with a great standart instead of 15 tournaments of average standart. And I think most members will agree with me

You're right. Snooker is more tiring, as it takes more energy to move around the table..
But still, it's not the most physically challenging sport and as for your concern about standard, I don't think they can keep the same standard in darts in every single tournament as well.. I watched darts from TV two years ago, and the quality was nearly changing in every leg, let it be from tournament to tournament. So, I think darts is open to upsets a little bit more than snooker, as the favourite will have less time to recover from a bad start.
I also think if there was so many ranking events, players would have an option to get their name entered in whatever tournament they want. Just like the system in tennis. Everybody gets in for Grand Slams. But every player prepare their own schedule..
Making an analogy, all top 16 would enter the UK, but let's say only 3 would be playing in a China ranking event. There would be simultaneous events all over the world, and the other top players would have a chance to select the playing area..All the way Mark J!!

As long as all 96 players are guaranteed a good match practice and income from their profession, it's all good.
P.S. And probably this discussion could deserve a separate thread, maybe mods could split this one?ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN

I do like snooker very much but I just now how tiring it is...after playing last big tournament before the New Year me and most of my friends got so tired and didnt pick up for two weeks..after we got back we realised theres another tournament and we had just a few days to practice...and I felt I havent played a year!! And I have been playing probably my worst game for years at the tournament...now imagine how diffucult it is for the top16 players!
for example the UK was very tiring and John didnt pick up a cue for a while and crashed from masters , and now he has only a week to prepare for the Welsh...2007 TSF Pot Black prediction contest winner

to complete my point I will say that if there will be 15 tournaments some top players(or quite many) might just not participate at some tournaments!2007 TSF Pot Black prediction contest winner
