Well apparantly there is some kind of noise, possibly an alarm in the background and they have taken the players off until it stops.

I really don't understand why Shaun didn't agree to let Neil go to his lockerroom and pick up the extension. it's his decision ofc, but I mean cmon what's the big deal about it. was it just spite ??

Well if you don't bring your equipment out with you then you aren't really officially allowed to go back and retrieve it. When you enter the arena you are supposed to be 'ready for play' and if you forget anything then you can be docked a frame. However once a frame is live I agree that going back and getting something you've forgotten should be down to the discretion of the referee and not your opponent as its the ref who should be controlling the frame.

yea the way I understood the ref asked Neil if he would mind Neil to go take the extension from the dressing room, but since Neil didn't leave the arena my guess is that Shaun declined it.

It was the judge not Shaun Murphy.

That's what Joe Johnson and Dave Hendon said on Eurosport, that Eirian asked if Neil could go and get the extension but Murphy denied the request.

Didn't matter in the end as Verhaas fetched it for him.

Murphy is gonna take some stopping. I really think he's playing his best ever stuff and its quite frightening how every ball hits smack bang in the middle of the pocket, he looks a million dollars out there, his cue action is just beautiful.

I have to agree, he has that look about him where he's come for the trophy and knows that nobody is going to get in his way.

Could it be yet another tournament during the last two seasons where Hendry has lost to the eventual winner?

Yes. Shaun Murphy will capture the title. However, should he not, a worth champion we shall have bearing in mind who is left.

Good response from Neil there though, another player who has looked so focused this week. After how long the first frame was it says a lot about this session that we are in the final frame before 10pm
