Also, people don't have favourites based solely on performance. Man Utd are top of the league, does that mean everyone has to enjoy watching them the most? We all have our favourites for different reasons, and unfortunately they don't always reach the final! Still, this is shaping up to be an enjoyable match as the quality is there.

Spot on. Murphy is a great player, nearly perfect. He has a great professional, perfectionists aproach to snooker. He NEVER gives up. I dont know him, so I can't say anything about him as a person. Papers never tell the hole story, no matter how good or bad those papers are.

But, in sports some player come a cross having that special carisma that makes you want to watch them, and some dont seem to have it for some reason. For me Hendry, Higgins, Davis and a couple of others have that carisma -Murphy doesn't.

Well I personally don't like the way gloves look, but i dont see the difference between using them in pool and snooker.

I see all your points about favourites etc but to sat Murphy doesnt have character then name HENDRY AND DAVIS as players that have????? :confusing:
