  • Well, 11-5 is a big advantage for Trump, but the match is not over yet. Dott kind of gave up halfway through that session, but he still won the last three frames. I bet he won't be giving up without a fight tomorrow.

It's even tougher to see Allen coming back. The scoreline is the same, but he didn't get any momentum going, so he would need a really good start. It's a morning session though, so if he can "sleep better" than Williams tonight, it could still be interesting.

i'd be more than embarassed. i wonder how will dott recover this time...but i still feel sorry and sad for bingham the most.
dott didnt capitalize, with little burden and consequences.
bingham (and the snooker world) had A LOT to lose.
What has Dott got to do with Bingham ???

      • There's no disgrace losing to anyone at this level and stage of the tournament

Judd is obviously playing the best snooker of his career.

to put it in perspective, you need to win the last session 8-1 to win from 11-5 down. Now that sounds more daunting doesn't it

Unless Judd gets the nervous shakes, he should win easily

They said the same about Pelé and then Maradona. In golf Niclaus records couldn´t be broken. Fangio in Formula one. The next Hendry/O´Sullivan could be there before we even know it.

As an australian you should know it´s a possible task ;-) My favorit player did it on his way to the WC last year. Dott is the kind of player to make a fight back, but in the China Open final and against Robertson, Trump has shown that he can manage beeing under pressure.

              • Dott gave up tonight, and he should have given up sooner as it made him play well! All a bit too late, I fear...

Selby got taken down a peg or two today. I'd still make him slight favourite, even though he trails.

Higgins/Ronnie... too even to call. Both looked good.

Williams looks pretty safe. It's going to a great performance from either Higgins or O'Sullivan to stop this guy.

                    • unrelated to thread, but I saw Peter Ebdon in Sheffield the day after he was knocked out and was happily talking and signing autographs for ages.
                      Bloody nice bloke it seemed!

                      • Williams v Trump would be the greatest pure potting final ever, both on form.

                        • Allen looked a little out of his depth tonight, while Williams without playing at his best looked very much in control throughout most of this evenings session.

Regarding Dott/Trump, when Dott's back was against the wall, he seem to throw caution to the wind, and just let his cueing arm go and made some fantastic long pots. As mentioned in a earlier post, he would have been better off he had done that sooner..

                            • Once Dott and Allen are out, we are left with 6 amazing players. I don't care who makes the final from that point, it will be amazing

Judd v Ronnie would be the dream final for me

                              • will it be a torch passing event, highlighting a new age? or will it be testament of the old age is here to stay?
