Interesting match. As The Boss noted there has seemed to be some needle in this match at times; did anyone else notice MJW glaring at Ronnie at one point as he walked back to his seat. They both want this badly, no doubt about that. A bit of needle adds a bit of spice though.
As a Ronnie fan I was very worried when he was a frame or 2 down; he seemed to be going for mad shots, with no weighing of the risks as to what he would gain or loose if he missed. Ronnie is definately interested and does respect MJW as a player Im sure. I do find it worrying that he still plays mad shots at times even in this circumstance. Fortuantely he got away with it on the whole, and started playing sensibly again and manged to levell the match
Nice bit of messing around at the end from Ronnie doing an impression of Mark's under body shot. I think Even Mark found that funny.
"You can shove your snooker up your jacksie 'cos I aint playing no more!" Alex Higgins.
I don't think there's grudge between them. During the match they of course "hate" each other, especially when sitting in the chair watching the other clearing the table. But when they shook hands last evening at the end of the session I think they were both smiling.

Nothing at ll happened and the get along well. Of course when they are at the table in a match like this one there is no space for friendship. Any player would be doomed if he let friendly feelings get in the way under the circumstances.

Theyre great friends now. Ronnie said in an interview prior to the match, he apparantely texted Mark to congratulate him on the China Open, he doesn't like Selby though, that's definite.
I think the quality of this match has been superior to any I've watched in a long time. At least the 2nd session was. It's fabulous to see Mark back to playing this kind of superb snooker, and Ronnie gets a buzz from competing against the very best. Long may it continue. What a shame this couldn't have been the final.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.
Agree Magicman , this would have been the ideal final . I,m just worried that Mark may come out of the blocks a lit slow for some reason , i hope not ,hope the standard keeps up from both . .
I hope he doesn't either. I would of been even more worried if it were to be a morning session.
Either way, it will nigh midnight when the match kicks off over here and I need to do a few things in the morning. I hope I'll wake up to the news that both Williams and Ding have won there matches.
