The issue with the save is the way that our games have been designed for some while now.

HOWEVER I do take your point if your hold down Alt and press F4 in the PC version the game will autosave at any point in the championship.

Similarly if you have the PS3 or X360 versions resetting the console will do the same thing.

I hope that this at least will prevent a few sleepless nights

    Cheers

    Pete

This is the reponse I got from telling of my save problems, I replied with the fact mine won't save AT ALL even from doing some of the things suggested on here. By the tone of his email they aren't going to do F-All about it. In his last line he know he has produced a product that is a pile of ****. All they have to do is release a patch, how ignorant and lazy, They think with this level of ineptitude people are actually going to bother with the next version. I am going to talk to them about refunds. I shall let you know what responses I get

Absolutely shocking - the annoying thing is in 04/05 they had the save feature working fine
Can turning you console off straight from a middle of a game harm consoles in anyway? The reason I say that is the Xbox is verging on PC with some aspects and they wouldn't advise turning a PC off in the middle of a game.

I'm fairly sure it can be bad for your console to turn it off in the middle of a game. Are you going to cover people if you ruin their machine with your duff advice, Blade?

Just patch the game and include a bloody save button.

        Simples!

I shall pose this question to Xbox, then forward their response onto Blade.

Do not refer me to the retailer, you know full well that upon opening a DVD/Game/CD refunds are not given due to copyright issues and the fact the product cannot be re-sold. I work for a CD/DVD Manufacturer so know EXCATLY how it works. So how can I obtain a refund?

            Hi Aaron,

Be aware that if you alter your profile in any way the game will autosave over your current progress. if you follow the instructions we provided your game progress will be saved. For refunds please refer to your retailer.

            Best Regards

you dont give a damn do ya, you pathetic t wats, next time that you bring a game out make sure it fo o king works and test it properly before you send it out to the public, you bunch of scammin, rip off lying ba sta rds.
you have well pi ssed me off with this pi s s poor of an effort for real 09 (ps3)
and you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
it should be blade interactive that is paying out to its disapointed customers and not the retailer as it wasnt the retailer who made the game,
so are you listening fade interactive.I GUESS NOT, LIKE USUAL

also can you show us proof of the market research of the online play on pc version that you said you did, and i want to see the original, not the made up version.

                    • Probably, post a question in Xbox 360 forum? Or ask Microsoft support?

                      Just a suggestion ...

                      • Aza, although I agree with you that the save function isn't an ideal way to save long matches (i.e. turning console off). This does work for myself and others on this forum.

Are you sure it isn't your xbox at fault, as this procedure of either exiting to dashboard or turning off console has worked for me every time.

Please note that the only danger in turning the console off direct from the power switch is losing data if midway through a save. As you can simply press the guide button and exit to dashboard, even this is not necessary. Therefore even though their save option is rather unsatisfactory, it isn't dangerous and providing you don't muck about with profile and simply go straight to next match, both stats and progress will indeed continue where you left off.

                        • Simple solution: don't go into your profile (dressing room) until after the match. That's what you'd do in real life, anyway! Yes, I know mid session interval and all that, but Blade haven't modelled that into the game, alongside various other things as we all know.

You're right, Blade should not be encouraging people to switch off their consoles while gaming!

Im sorry but that takes the ****, i have never heard anything so stupid in my life. Blade just seem to be showing them self up more and more everyday with the complete lack of any respect for the customer and there shoddy game.

Dont get me wrong, other games have bugs, Bethesda's games are known for having lots of bugs but because they take the time and make the game amazing no one really bothers (Oblivion and Fallout3 are amazing). I could forgive it if the game was good but having played WSC 05 (i think) and that was a much better game then 09.

                              • Oblivion and Fallout 3 are indeed amazing gaming experiences. I love them both being an RPG fan.

But remember that Blade are a very very small studio compared with Bethesdas.
