The only thing this franchise has going for it is that it includes the official world pool licensing too, which will attract sales in the US.

Yes, but they didn't include the Mosconi Cup for some reason. Don't they have the licence to that as well, or is it maybe an unlockable?

    • Doubt it ... Most probably they dont have enough resources to do that, or time constraint that they want to rush to release the game.

As you can see the result, it seems they dont test the game thoroughly ... or not at all.

Problem like PS3 disconnect should not happen if they test it properly.

just read the whold thread and blade havent responded since about page 3.

looks like they have done a runner. I guess its cos of the shoddy workmanship that codemasters ditced blade, they publish it themselves now cos no decent game company would even consider it.

All the games have had bugs but wsc real 09 is the straw that broke the camel's back for me. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BLADE GAME.

              • the sad thing is, that a lot of folk have now lost interest in the game on PS3 due to the inability to play online without DC. I wouldn't be suprised if many people never buy another Blade game again after this shoddy release.

It will definitely have badly damaged their reputation. WSC, for the sake of people taking you seriously, give this licence to someone else now. It's been ten years for God's sake!

This is very true, its not just the release though, its the support (lack of) after aswell ans just general all round ****ty'ness. They just released prob made a bit off the game sales and thats it, i dont think the PS3 online is still working (might be wrong)

                    • If Blade value our feedback so much, why did you never even aknowledge any of the nine emails I've sent to you in the past, concerning the WCS series of games? I've bought the series from the beginning, and have tried to contact you every year, as I watched your programmers gradually lose the plot. You peaked with 2004 and needed only address a few issues to get the game near-perfect. Instead you gave us the mess that was 2005 and have grown ever more lazy since.

Spot on. 2004 (and 2003) were where the game needed to be (apart from a more realistic aiming aid and mouse controlled cueing). The ball physics were better, the cushions looked and sounded like real cushions: in fact, the sound was better all round, apart from the crowd.

                          • yeah, unfortunately Blade messed up big time, as the PS3 version is useless online and despite Blade promising a patch to resolve this "very shortly" they have arrogantly ignored everyone on this forum for weeks now and not replied to emails. I suggest you think twice before buying a game from Blade in the future

                              • i don't know how long people have owned there copy and have their receipt, but i would take it back to store or contact and ask if it would be possible to exchange for something else.
you would have a good case as the game is not 100% working correctly, due to online, etc. in that respect, they can't offer an exchange for the same title as it ain't just like a faulty disc. there is no knowing how long it will be to finally get sorted and it's not like they are going to knock the price down for faults.

like i said, you would have a good arguement and can always say that if they sort it out in the future, then you can always re purchase at a later date. plus your not asking for a refund to purchase elsewhere, so couldn't see a problem.
