Hi there I'm a newby but I use a kamui 6 layer tip and I think it's fantastic never have to worry about have I got enough chalk on as it holds loads and the control when swerving the ball is great
Put a 11.5 mm mushroom shaped tip on a 10 mm ferrule.
Played a few shots & went for a deep screwback only to see the tip fly off across the room.
My guess is that the glue (5 minute Araldite) could not hold it and/or the shot pressure on the leather at one end was greater than what the glue surface area could hold.
Will go down to a 10.50 mm one & see if I have the same issue.
9,5mm Elk. Have to continue tomorrow, still needs more steel wool and burning. But I've not change a tip for 2 years by myself, pretty happy to get it right in the middle.
I have tried different tips out Elk, Blue Diamond, Mike Wooldridge, Blue Knight etc, currently using Talisman Med best tip ever for feel and response will not go back to anything else, but hey that is my humble opinion but definately recommend try enjoy......
