Why couldn't you have both? The problem with a voucher for a new cue is that you have to wait for it to be made, that varies depending on the cue and maker, you would also have to have the cue maker on board as they may take exception to people making profit from their business in this way. Also I think £6 would be to high. I myself would not spend more than £3 on an entry. I also wouldn't even be thinking whether or not a raffel was fixed. If I thought that I just wouldn't bother entering it in the first place.

The Raffle.........You Wouldn't be Making a Profit on the Cue Makers!!

You set the Price to the Entries and Fees m8? So all the Raffle goes to Cue Maker.

Also £6 for a Chance to Win £300/£400....Is Great Return! I have been into Gambling for Many Years and that is Great Returns....Thats at Least 50/1 Winner if you Win!

I think its a Great Idea Regarding a Voucher/Direct Contact with Cue Maker, And Waiting a Few Mths is Not a Big Deal....As your having Something for Nothing Really Aren't you.

I would be Willing to Enter RAFFLE....For Voucher to TREVOR WHITE / JOHN PARRIS.

        Cheers Gaz.

Good luck putting that together. I think I'll just stick to selling my cues the conventional way. It was a simple question that only required a simple answer but some people just have to muddy the waters. I wash my hands of if. It's a shame as the poll indicates that most members that have voted have showen positive feedback.

            Ps
Just like to say that I've only sold two cues, they have both been my playing cues and I have sold them both at a loss. Not because the cue are no good or can't sale, it just that I feel that if a cue is used is should be sold for less than you payed for it. I don't come on this site to profit from other members, but I do like my cues to go to good homes.
Peace be withyou my fellow snooker players and snooker fans.

I feel it's a massive shame you feel that way Caz as a result of what others have posted, some folk are just selfish with a I want attitude, I hope you change your mind though.

As if you start Raffle your Own Cue or Cues Most people on Here will want to do the same if they cant sell there Cues as thats only Helping the Seller to Sell a Cue for him which they Haven't had Enough Interest in on Forums.

I think Raffle a Used Cue or a Cue you cannot Play with isn't Really Fair? And if it was to Own a Brand New -Made to Measure Cue you would get alot more Money in Raffle.

I know I would Put Alot More in Raffle if Brand New Made to Measure Cue.
I see where yuoure coming from gaz but surely if the specs wer,nt right then you would,nt buy a ticket in the first place . There,s no difference raffling a cue that you cant play with than selling one , because a cue does,nt suit you it does,nt mean it aint going to suit the buyer .

Thats the chance every buyer who cant physically try a cue out takes .

I have to agree with you on that statement Peter , unless it is a vintage/antique cue or your name is Fedia .

Shame you are not doing the raffle . I had a crisp £10 ready to send to you .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

The basic idea is not bad, but it is open to abuse. I also think that it could be tricky if the cue's specs are a little deviant. Personally I'd not participate in a raffle.

Peter please dont take my Replies as a Negative as I didn't mean to Offend Anybody and if I have I will Appologize Now as it was just My Opinion which we all have one.

The Poll Shows Below......It is a Close One.

                          Yes 21 46.67%
                          No 4 8.89%
                          Maybe 1 2.22%
Depends on the cue on offer 19 42.22%

Peter I have looked over and Over this Thread and if the Thread would have been more Clear about this Raffle Regarding a Cue and the Way it was going be Run and What Cue People would Win I think the Poll would have been alot Higher in Your Favour.

No Hard Feelings I hope as thats the Last thing I want is Forum Members argueing.

                          Cheers Gaz.

its actually easy to run without abuse , use the lottery it cant be cheated, not by us anyway lol ,

400 for a cue = 8ish pounds per ticket , using numbers 1-49 , the winner is the number that matches the bonus ball , or run it for 10 a ticket and giver 90ish pounds to a recognised charity
