I emailed JP about some spec changes and got no reply ether, ended up having to ringing the shop and was told the cues shaft had not been selected yet... still that was no surprise I'd only been waiting 9 months at the time

Perhaps you are in the same country having no commmunication problem just a ring will be able to speak to JP, but my friends are in Singapore and some of them dun even receive and reply from JP. One of my friend even has to cancel his order as the he was asked to wait and wait for a long time. Can you imagine that. Famous cue maker like JP is having such a poor customer service will be chasing away their customer. I am one of the example. I will not order any JP cue in future.

With the amount of emails per day that he must get, I bet it's hard to keep track of them all.

In my experience I had every email dealt with. Every spec change and design change, around 5 as I couldn't make my mind up.... Also I called once and spoke to the man himself about design and spec and waiting time, and I felt that he couldn't have been more helpful. All in all a very good purchasing experience that made me felt welcomed. Been 10 months now. Still as received but he said it would be a sure 2 years. Best thing is to order with no expectation and the wait doesn't seem that long. Since John mainly spends time on customer service, it seems strange to hear so many issues. Did you quote the order number in each email?

My friends quoted but one of could not find the order the other one was informed that they need to find better ash wood. So both of them waited n the cue never come.

In that case if that was me I would of gone through my bank account and pointed out to him the date etc to when I paid him the £100 deposit.

Hi all. I am one of Elgin friend whom he mentioned above. My story goes like that - I have placed my JP ultimate cue order#3281 on 19th Dec 2011, which make up to 1 year 6 months of waiting till now. Did some spec change request on end 2012 and everything seems going well with correspondent through email between JP & me. But since March 2012, many emails written to JP got no responds, and to my horror recently, I realised that my order placed cannot to found anymore in the Member area where we check the status. It's missing. This is not the 1st JP cue that I ordered. I have my 1st JP cue (Campion cue) in yr2000 and 2nd JP Champion cue in yr2011 with no problem at all. Now I wonder whether will I ever get the Ultimate cue or even the deposit back. Anyway, I am already sick of the long wait and don't really care any more. I am now enjoying playing with my new Andy Travis cue.......Cheers all ..

I find the problem with JP is that he is too nice and tries too hard to please his customers, John called me a few months back right out of the blue I was surprised and it made me feel really good that he had taken time out of his day to make that call and he was really nice.He said that my cue would be in production in about 4 weeks. I waited 4 weeks and there was no changed to the status. I sent an email explaining that I was told by John that my cue would be in production by now and asked for an update. I was very surprised to get a very short email back saying making cue's was not a production line and that they could not tell me when my cue would be ready???
I was really annoyed and felt like cancelling there and then. It is clear to me that john did not send that email as the tone was all wrong. I have decided to let things run their course for now. As with a previous poster I have spent the cue money anyhow and would struggle to pay the balance in the next few weeks, so it suits me for now to wait. If they can't give a date then they should just say that, then your expectations are not constantly being played with.
