3 bedroom houses are quite small and so come with smaller gardens don't they? well that's the general trend where i'm from, dunno bout elsewhere

I'm still a young lad so getting table now in my own house for backyard will be bad move, will not be staying there forever.

I'll get a table in my 40+'s more than likely.

Mrs Mick142 give Mr a hit over the head with a snooker cue or do what happens on the film Scum, get a sock and put some balls in it and hit him in his balls haha.

Naaah - she was a 'snooker widow' before we even got married 21 years ago - she's cool with it all and BTW - no need for intercoms - that's what mobile phones are for!

                          re: potting shed

                          Mick,

That snooker room is quality mate, very nice indeed. I am looking to build something similar myself - no DIY expert that is for sure, but willing to have a go at least (with some help from builder friends).

I used to be good at snooker (2 147's) but have hardly played for about 3 years now - looking to get back into it now i'm hitting 40 .

I have 2 choices on building my snooker room.

Extending my current extension on the back of the house by about 8 foot, or going the games shed root (looking more likely) as probably would not need planning permission.

Seeing your shed has inspired me.
Struggling with the game currently, after 6 years away from it.
                          92 centuries
                          2 Maximums

8 more centuries, and I'll be a happy man.

Very Very Nice, I like the Tv in the Top Right Hand Corner!

A friend of mine also has a Snooker Room behind his house built from Blocks and we used to Practice 5 Days a week.

                            Gaz.

You do not need a lot of skill to build a plain brick building. I am retired builder. Just get somebody to help you set it out and you can make quite a good job of the brickwork if you buy yourself a Brickies Mate. You must have a mate who could help with building the roof.
Type in Brickies Mate into Google and see what you come up with.
Just had a look on Google and here is one of the websites ... http://www.brickytool.com/index_eng.html

The bricky tool looks good. If I build a brick building to take a full size table, planning permission will be required, as I already have an extension at the rear of the house, this is a no no.

But pretty sure I can get away with a shed . Have to make sure I get it insulated properly.

Misses has told me to go for it (good girl).

As I have worked at a snooker club for the last 10 years, my love for the game has dwindled. You would think it was an ideal job for a snooker player.
