I got my Parris extended a few years back, about 2 inches and it cost me about £70. Worth every penny as I've had so many cues down the years and never felt as comfortable as this one. So its down to whether you like the feel of your cue, if you do get it extended, cost is irrelevant if it plays well.

there is no reason for it to be terribly expensive - you would need to ask him though.

hi all
to say am used to a 10 mm tip and the cue is a 9.4 av i av made a couple of breaks in the 40's and a 37 last nite, but am still more confident with a bigger tip. but av bin quoted 87 quid to extended it and put a bigger tip on.
am undecided what to do even though av had options of swaping to a robert osborneLast edited by mattyshinobi22; 16 November 2008, 11:42 PM.

Quick Question:
Why is it that many pros choose to go with a John Parris?
I am of the humble opinion that he doesn't make the best cues around.. Not intended to offend anybody. So it has me wondering.. is it that JP gives more time to cater for the needs of a pro? Is it because they have a lot of money to throw around? Is it sponsorship?
Thanks.

I believe John Will give pro's cues rather than them pay or be sponsored.
You'd expect these to be descent so you take one even if it wasn't your main cue surely.
That's one of the ways that the impression that everyone has a Parris cue has grown.
The other is by taking lot's of pictures people who don't have your cues and putting them on your website.
The worst is altering a cue an sticking your own badge on.
I believe this happened to Matthew Stevens' Will Hunt Cue.
