He's a very gifted player. I also like to watch him play and of course it's good to see an Iranian player not only on the tour (there also Vahedi of course), but being so good.
A few years ago I already thought that Vafaei played way better than his ranking, but due to him not getting visas for many events he couldn't climb up the rankings and also missed the regularity of competitive matches against elite opponents. But since this problems seem to be fixed and he plays a full schedule he has continuously been better and is also already at #34 and probably should be in the top 30 soon. I expect him to still become better as he is only 26 despite looking much older.

And yeah I also would like to hear his story. Iranians often have a very interesting or difficult life.

Agreed, this all needs to be fixed, properly... it's been going on far too long now. Not only that error message thingy when posting something but also the faulty post update in the forums overview and stuff. It's really off-putting.
