Ref was not acting up, he is not English so possibly does not have a great grasp of the language and what Ronnie was doing was intimidating him and trying to belittle him in front of the audience and TV cameras. All the ref did was try to walk in front of Ronnie to get the ball out of the pocket, Ronnie was at fault more than anything because the cueball was in the path of the pocket and ref had no choice but to get in front of him to retreave it. Ronnie took exception because he is a petulant child who is used to everyone bowing down to him. The ref was right not to get involved in a discussion, he is in charge and the ref should have warned Ron for improper conduct towards the ref.

am watching the O'Sullivan / Milkins match right now and have not got to the discussion between Ronnie and Ref but I will say this ref is in motion a lot and in and out of the line of sight unnecessarily and stands too close to the table when not necessary ( should watch Jan Verhass for proper reffing ) , also both players seem to be in bad mood so I guess I'll wait and see what happened.

In regards to yesterday. Shamefull again from Ronnie...nothing new there then. But...I also have to be honest in saying I feel the ref a couple of times could have opted to let the player go ahead first instead of him going first to pick the color out of the pocket. Bad judgement...learning curve...you name it.
But still...Ronnie should have handled it differently...slide a note in the complaint box or something or otherwise he can always cry his eyes out at Barry Hearn...like he usually does when things don't go his way

Ronnie has asked refs before now to left him walk past before getting colours out of pockets. Nothing new, I saw him chatting at the end but didn't during the game.
Anyone from here at the venue tomorrow?
No tickets left at venue booking office, Gumtree or eBay or hopefully some here can help out.Last edited by cebs; 19 March 2015, 06:17 PM.

First...check your spellchecker
Second...Ronnie definately was pointing/gesturing to the ref during the last frame. The first time was after he potted the pink in the left middle. He made sure to first get in the ref's path himself and then making a point of letting the ref know by waving his arms about, saying you go first...very obvious the way he went about it, and rather childish behaviour from the rocket.
