No it would actually be far too dramatic for the media to make a 'rivalry' out of it when that clearly isn't the case atm. It would also be very unfair to the players to make out there was some sort of personal issue when it may well be completely nonexistent.

I wasn't suggesting they should suddenly spend 20 minutes milking it for all it's worth, but highlighting a few of the minor incidents creates interest. Snooker is no different to any other sport in that regard - a match with personal issues, regardless of how small they are, will gather more interest than one where it's two robots playing. It just adds a little something.

Not a big issue of course, but it helps.

Say what you want about Selby, but he's amazing at bringing out the worst in his opponents. He's almost impossible to blow off the table.
