If someone mentioned Willie Thorne, you might well immediately think of his missed blue. If someone mentioned Dennis Taylor, then 'that' black would almost certainly spring to mind. If someone said Alan McManus, one might recall that brown that rolled along the cushion rail a few years ago.

Who might bring up memories of a yellow? There are probably several potential answers, but I want the particular one that I'm thinking of.

Congratulations kellie-text. Yes Hamilton lost in the second round at the Crucible in 1997 but it was enough to get him into the top 16. His first ranking quarter-final was in the third event of the 1997-98 season.
