    I agree with JRC750!!

I am almost 60 and have got a car. I have owned more cars in my time than snooker cues. Indeed I always fancied a Porsche and about 3 years ago went out and bought a brand new Cayman. Lovely car and I enjoyed it but not getting in and out so I sold it and now that I am retired just want a car that is comfortable and can get me from A to B.

I have loved and played snooker for over 40 years and owning this cue will give me immense pleasure. I may continue to play rubbish snooker but from now on will know for absolute certainty that the reason I am rubbish is purely technique and nothing to do with the cue!!

On a lighter note, I was offered an immaculate Rolls Royce silver shadow last week for the exact same price that I paid for the cue!

          Somewhere around 6-8 thousand?

Either way. I also agree if u have it then its no problem. Spens it on what u like.

I hope it turns out to be the cue u keep for live. I have enjoyed reading ur story.

Oldgit, it will be very risky going to your local snooker club with that cue. Could well go walk about..You would have the whole club watching you play with it, if they knew the story..

Make sure you take it with you if you go to the gents ...haha..

In fact, I would just leave it at home.

Last time it was on ebay it was £4000 start and didn't sell, its pretty safe to assume he got it for less than that

Edit : Sorry it was £4500 start, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=250815943212

I do not really care how much you paid for the cue and I am kind of surprised that so many people are asking you this question. :-)
From reading your account I could not help but feeling really moved by your deep passion for cues and the game in general.
I am truly happy for you.
A lot of people have nice cars but who has such a special cue...enjoy your cue and enjoy your game. I am happy that you can find this cue and own it--some people could never find that most special cue in their entire life; somce found it but could not afford to own it.
Sharing your journey in searching for "the cue" has been the most enjoyable posts I have read since I jointed TSF.
                      Thank you so much.:-)
